Our Mission
Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club comprising passionate young individuals aged 18 to 30. We believe in creating positive change through community and international service. As a global movement with more than 9,500 clubs in approximately 170 countries, Rotaract has become a powerful force for goodwill and peace.
What is a Rotaract Club?
Rotaract, an acronym for "Rotary in action," is the youth wing of Rotary International, spreading the joy of Rotary among young people aged 18 to 30. With 9,539 clubs and 219,397 Rotaractors worldwide, our reach knows no bounds. Rotaract aims to foster peace and international understanding while making a meaningful impact at the community level.
Why Organize a Rotaract Club?
Rotaract nurtures the leaders of tomorrow, providing them with essential skills and tools to become responsible and productive members of society. Our program challenges young generations to develop their talents, confront societal issues, and cultivate essential life skills for generations to come.
Our Functions:
In Rotaract clubs, we focus on three primary areas: Professional Development, Leadership Development, and Service Projects. These areas ensure a balanced club program, empowering our members with valuable experiences for personal growth.
Professional Development:
Through seminars, forums, and conferences, we expand members' understanding of their work environment and business opportunities within the community. Rotaract emphasizes the role of its members in fostering economic development and applying service skills in the workplace.
Leadership Development:
We strive to create effective leaders in personal and club settings. Leadership training includes public speaking, marketing Rotaract, building consensus, delegation, project promotion, and project assessment.
Service Projects:
Rotaract's guiding principle is "Service above Self." Our club's service projects aim to improve lives locally and globally. Addressing critical issues like violence, drug abuse, hunger, and illiteracy, our projects make a meaningful difference.
Rotaract Programs:
Our club organizes diverse projects and activities, classified into four avenues of service: Club Service, Community Service, Professional/Vocational Service, and International Service. Through these avenues, we foster personal development and community growth.
The Four-Way Test:
Before undertaking projects, Rotaractors adhere to Rotary's famous Four-Way Test, emphasizing truth, fairness, goodwill, and benefit to all concerned. High ethical standards are paramount in our endeavors.
Rotaract Purpose:
We empower young men and women to enhance their knowledge and skills, address community needs, and foster global friendship and service.
Why Join Rotaract?
For us, "To love" is to devote oneself to serving others. Love and service are the core values of our organization, and they unite us as changemakers and friends. As Rotaractors, we manufacture friendship and maintain existing bonds while exchanging constructive ideas for a better world.
